The Alliance for Equal Representation in Medicine (AFERM) is a student-run organization at the University of Washington School of Medicine (UWSOM) dedicated to increasing diversity in medical education. The Mock Interview Program provides mock interviews and coaching for applicants who have been invited to interview at UWSOM and are underrepresented in medicine or come from disadvantaged backgrounds. We also provide mentorship for premedical or post-baccalaureate students in the greater Seattle area by pairing them with medical student mentors and offering networking events and workshops.
